- Matters connected with illegal occupation of Government Riverine Land
- Issue of permission to use Government Jetties and government riverine land.
- Inward/Outward Outward clearances to ships calling at Panaji Port outer harbour anchorage.
- Providing and maintaining Lighthouses/Beacons/Buoys and other navigational aids for vessels plying in the Inland Waterways.
- Imparting training through Maritime School at Britona, to those desiring to join careers on Inland Vessels of Goa.
