Expectation of the department from the public for enhancing its effectiveness and efficiency

The members of the public are required to co-operate with the staff of the department for effectiveness and efficiency. The Department aims at ensuring the welfare of barge and allied industry and in keeping confidence of the people through transparency in its working and providing the required information pertaining to Inland Water Transport Services. Public can always address their grievances with the Captain of Ports or the Public Grievances Officer designated.
